Livelihood Program

Livelihood Program

The livelihood program entails water, health, education, and community economic empowerment initiatives supported by the conservancy and its partners to cushion the communities that are facing the brunt of climate change. The education projects, mainly financed through the carbon funding support, provide educational bursaries for both tertiary and secondary students annually and construction of classrooms for targeted schools. Health projects include interventions like hospital bills for the most needy and provisions of emergency items like snakebite medications, whereas the water projects target borehole drilling, rainwater harvesting, and pipeline rehabilitation and extension.
